I will upload a picture of white spots on a few leaves of my JP. What would remedy this?

Inside - outside? How water? Use any chemicals or ferts? Has anything changed with its location, care, etc? A picture of the tree including soil would help. And what species was it again?

Its a green Japanese Maple. Tree is placed outside in part sunlight. Weather has been cooler so I watch my watering habits. No chemicals or ferts. I've always kept an eye on it,had it for a few months.
This is the best soil picture I can take due to the rainy weather.

Looks like it could be damage from a sucking insect of some kind. It doesn't look like a huge problem to me, unless it becomes widespread. And even then, it's the end of the season almost, so probably nothing to worry about. Roots look healthy, as does the overall tree.
