Very sweet little print of unknown origin. An ornate bronze bell hangs from a plum tree in bloom. Lady in her finery gazes up at bell, fan in hand. Unsigned but definitely a woodblock on heavy washi paper with minimal bleed though. Some minor wrinkles. About 8 x 12 inches.
Price with shipping in the USA is $20.

🙂 Can't resist sharing this poem that I've just discovered, by Matsue Shigeyori [Ishu] (1596-1670), as translated by Donald Keene:

Hey there, wait a moment,
Before you strike the temple bell
At the cherry blossoms.

(Footnoted "In Japan, the lifespan of a cherry flower is only three days and the poet fears the bell's reverberation will cause the petals to fall sooner than they should.)
