Wrightia religiosa /water jasmine size?

Hi,

Anyone has seen a fully grown Wrightia religiosa tree? I owned 1 as bonsai but Im just curious of how big can they grow if grow on the ground /in nature.. .. Pls share some photos if seen any... Thank you.

Never seen one in 'real' but just search Instagram for #AntingPutri and you will get a lot of pictures. Some are HUGE

When I was visiting Malaysia, the Malaysian Peninsula, I saw quite a few, but it was before digital photography was cheap and affordable. So I have no photos. (1994).

I saw Wrightia trees up to about 20 feet tall (6 meters), more often I saw them used as a hedge, much like the way we use privet or boxwood. Covered with fragrant flowers. It was "kinda cool", but I was not thinking bonsai as I wandered about. But left to their own devices, Wrightia is a full sized small tree.

unfortunately, all of the plants on the island are from cuttings.
However, the plant has the ability to thicken the trunk in
large pots.

Apologies, a bit busy presently, so any images will be later on'in
the week.
