Not my fault :)

Also... there is a table in the database that I still need to debug. It involves the "find new" function for finding new posts. If you click on that site link (to find new posts), you will get an ugly error message. I am aware of the problem.

[EDIT] The database table has been fixed. Everything on the site should be working again. [/EDIT]

Having been "on call" for work on a big website, I definitely know draining a long night is. Hope you can have a nice restful weekend, Greg!

Thx, paypal link is broken indeed.

Sorry about the technical stuff. I was worried for a second someone hacked the site.
I just got a new PayPal link. I think this one will work better(?)

My old link dated from 2015... they have changed a few things since then!

Thank you all for the generous donations! I have sent out thank-yous to everyone who has donated so far... if you did not get a thank you from me, but donated something, let me know!!

I really appreciate it!
I think I speak for everyone in saying thank you for this site. It has been a gift to many over the years.

It has been a labor of love. I created the site originally because my personal life was so busy it was difficult for me to join a bonsai society or travel to many shows. Also, I got frustrated with many bonsai sites that would come and go over the years... losing tons of valuable content. I wanted to create a site that would become an archive.... and that would have the financial backing to not disappear on a whim. So yes, I could have personally covered the $600 upcharge due to the recent upgrades. I would have done it happily because I love you all :) But the fact that people are pitching in is like someone buying you a free beer. You don't need it, you don't expect it... but it sure is nice when it happens.

FWIW the site was doing really well in 2020 during the pandemic. I guess y'all were staying home working on your trees. But since then, ad rates have dropped 50%. So you take the good with the bad. I try to run the minimal ads to cover site costs. Some years I come out ahead, some years not. But that is MUCH better than the first ten years of the site...

And like I said, I can afford it if necessary. So the site will never go anywhere while I am around.

Thanks for the new link. Wish I could donate more, but Uncle Sam retired me below poverty level this year ):
So BN is my bonsai book for the year. Thank you Greg!
