Come on. If you post in this thread, post a picture of what you did today (recently) on bonsai. It is not that hard.
This thread has been going for almost 100 pages without a real issue.

Play the game or do not post here. Plenty of open chat threads on the site to go.

Started recording a video on how to be a better bonsai beginner / which mistakes to avoid. Like.. Buy suitable material

No way you’re Jelle!?!?!?!? I’ve watched every one of your videos and I had no idea!!!! Damn I love your style!!!

To keep in theme of the thread, I cleaned up my coast live oak and admired the color of my western juniper in the process.

In August I normally have more time so tend to work my junipers, which I enjoy a lot. Here is one that trimmed and wire (little bit) today. Picture from year ago when I purchased it and today after work. Still a lot of work but I think it’s turning up nicely. In spring will get new pot.

Finished putting red stone down in the shade garden:

Also potted up some trident cuttings. May have been a bit premature, but if they dont make it i dont care. They all had roots and such so... they should make it. Can always try again if not.

Today , flea market in kodai temple in Kyoto....The most expensive was this 40 years old JWP with a price tag of 12000 yen (about 80$ ). The mame where 5 to 15$. Some times I think it's better not to look at them and suffer

I did some thining on this Seiju Elm as well as a few others. I also cleaned up the moss growing up the trunk to try and preserve the corking bark. One of the "main" trunks broke off while I was playing with it. Seemed like it was. Weak knuckle or something since I was just moving it with my hands a wee-bit.

Attempting to root it as a cutting. Anyways, I cut back the foliage with the goal of generating as much energy reserves as possible for next year's work as well as trying to generate some back budding lower down the branches. A little unsure on the direction i want to take it.

I kept thinking that this looked like a tall and sparse acacia tree.
