Collecting a huge White Cedar

I thought I would post an update after I styled this tree recently. I would like to find a new large pot for it but I am not sure where to get it. The photo is kinda far away but I do like this tree as much as I thought I would, when I collected it. Curious what peoples thoughts might be on how to improve it over time.

I’ve been searching for Thuja inspiration since I just acquired my first this week, and I stumbled upon this thread! What an awesome tree, Matt.

I really like how the foliage on the right side is kept tight to the trunk and the left side is stretching out more with the curve of the trunk. That’s a subtle but brilliant design. Bravo!

THANK YOU! I really enjoy this tree in my garden but I do not enjoy moving it! I would love to get this tree into a different pot but repotting a tree like this is not a one man job.

Sick tree!!! Do you have a pot style in mind? I think something round and ruggedly textured with an oppositely flowing streak from the trunk. Idk if that makes sense?

That is an amazing tree. What a find!! You've really done well with it. So amazing cedar can be found in those swamps in the UP.

A Fun Fact that may interest you; during my SFI certification class I remember that an Eastern White Cedar puts on an inch of diameter growth per 10 years, generally. That may give you an idea as to the age of the tree.
