What did you do today? Show us Pic Required

Repotted my oleanders. This is not really a bonsai project, I am just torturing them because they are too big. They bloomed and set seeds this year. Would not it be cool if white and pink semi double cross pollinated? Just don't have bandwidth to do it all. Roots and limbs hacked off. There should have enough time to regrow neoprene they come inside.

I once took a cutting from a single flowered Oleander and when it bloomed it was a double.

Finished my first wooden planter.
Made out of timber from an old BBQ frame.
Got a Jade trunk screaming for a better pot than a polystyrene tub.
Its rather shallow but lessons learned for future projects.

& pruned some branches on my shohin Barbados cherry.

I trunk chopped this small cherry in 2023. I got it from Wiegerts in 2022. Pic from when it arrived.

Took about 6 branches off. I'm going to let it heal and check out the back budding. That big one on the right needs to come off too.

Kate, I remember reading somewhere that they are poisonous but don't remember how and how bad.. so just be careful

Did some more garden cleanup today, not with any of the trees. The previous owners of this home did not have a green thumb. They put down close to 1000 square feet of landscaping cloth in 2 layers and didn't plant anything. I've been experimenting with garden bed arrangements and moved some stones around for the first one. At least all the crap that was laying on the cloth can become good compost over the fall. All the extra brown without grass is the old bed line.

Thanks. I am aware. You need to eat them, which I don't. :)
They are pretty much all over Mediterranean as pretty street plantings.
