What’s your latest Bonsai related purchase?

Wicked cool tree.

I picked up a pot that the texture and colors intrigued me. The chop... makes no sense to me. The sellers initials are NC. so... I'm curious if he has a business he goes under not named. Nick Chira was the seller. No clue.View attachment 583775View attachment 583776View attachment 583777View attachment 583778
The chop appears to be the mark for NC Pottery.com a venue created to showcase a group of potters in North Carolina. They are on Facebook and Etsy. seems like a co-operative venture to market wares for local artisan potters.

Ahhh thanks for the information. I'm on my phone...and on heavy meds right now. My brain is sluggish. I didn't see the C apparently correctly.

substrate from scenic hill farm nursery. usually order from bonsaijack, but i needed a smaller particle size for more water retention, and their price point was similar.

Interesting, they both advertise 1/4" particle size, Scenic Hill seems to have the 1/4" as the largest particle, while BJack uses it as the average. Will keep this one in mind for future purchases where I may need some more smaller substrate.

Just returned from Bjorn's Japan tour. Bought a few items at the Kokufu: one antique Japanese pot, 3 vintage Japanese pots, Kaneshin tools, plastic mesh. And we had SO MUCH FUN! Not to mention seeing the most beautiful bonsai in the world!

🤣 my eyes are fooling me it just looked like that ;)
ive run out of pictures but the trophy is on saturday so if i will be able to score anything il make up to it if @ShimpakuBonsai doesnt snatch everything before i get a chance 🤣

Another nice pot from @vancehanna. I normally wouldn't have a use for a pot this big but I have a couple of Christmas impulse buys I might do something fun with. If you already didn't know what a nice guy Vance is, he refunded me money because the shipping was less than he anticipated. vance new pot.JPG

My gosh...I'm putting myself to bed. Dosed on meds...and strung out. I bought a novelty for retail therapy alone.

Nighty night... I half wonder...if roasting marshmallows over the cash would have been a tastier treat/reward.

Edit: Not even drain holes I'm seeing. Geesh...I'll have to use it as a prop for display for Instagram. When doing cosmic design. Maybe I'll find a big breasted woman figure to put on top...😂...as he's added big busted women apparently. Gosh...I'm such a lightweight to meds. GOTTA FIND HUMOR.

Seller says top has a hole. So no true reason for a dominatrix busty broad figurine Though...highly amused at my thoughts. I did Google figurines in such nature. 🤣🙃 giggling. I like to be controversial. We all know that. Never say never. bawahahahahahaha.
