What’s your latest Bonsai related purchase?

First Kaneshin purchase, they seem very nice. Replacing my cheapo stainless starter kit - at least the cutting tools. Scissors were already replaced with Wazakura via the BNut affiliate link last year - but they didn't have a rounded branch cutter, and I really wanted to try one out (No. 4).

Just received a 2 year old kotohime from our resident BNut expert clad in some awesome packaging. So happy that I bought another one (on eBay) to celebrate my first official day of retirement! It's one of my favorite Japanese maples, and now I have one started for bonsai. An admitted JM addict... 🤣🤣🤣IMG_20250130_130440218_HDR.jpg

Bought some air layering pods. Going to give it a go. I’ve seen a number of home made devices, but these were pretty cheap and thought they would seal pretty well. Anyone have good experience using these?

I'm happy with them, but the tab to close them is a weak point. Keep some wire close to thread it through the holes in the corners if that happens.

Mine came with tiny zip ties to keep them shut tight. Happy with them too. And when I go to re-use them I just thread a thin wire through the holes and twist tight.

A tool bag for my bonsai tools. Monkey see monkey do after seeing @Japonicus Hercules bag. Different brand, almost the same...

Cool beans!
I couldn't believe how much grit was in the bottom of that bag till I had to grab the broom.
I set it down on top step, the as I reach for the door it tilted over so fast that it went ahead
and somersaulted upside down on the bottom step. Woopsy

Picked up 3 hinoki sekka. I need help picking one to keep.
You'll get more help by creating a thread. :) I like the one on the right. Since you're getting rid of two send me the one on the right. ;)

I also picked up one of these, should work better than the paper bags I use.
