Thanks so much, Greg.
This site works like a dream compared to other forums (forea?) that I frequent.

4MB per image, 16 images per post max. If you are using even basic image compression, 4MB is a pretty big image. This may be off topic, but I think falls under the site maintenance umbrella, what is the photo/attachment size max allowed for posts. It seems whenever I try to post a photo it says it’s too big
When I open an image in Windows 10 using the default image program, there's an option to resize the image (click the 3 dots). I resize to 80%, which allows me to upload. I'm sure other image displaying programs have similar functionality. This may be off topic, but I think falls under the site maintenance umbrella, what is the photo/attachment size max allowed for posts. Mine always fail if I try uploading an image that was taken with "burst" or "best shot" mode (android). I have to extract a single image from the burst - or remember to turn it off before I take bonsai pictures...This may be off topic, but I think falls under the site maintenance umbrella, what is the photo/attachment size max allowed for posts. I just checked and my original cell phone pics (uncompressed) are 36 MB. If I compress them to 80% quality JPEGs they are 2.3 MB... and that is still for an image that is 3072 x 4080 pixels.Mine always fail if I try uploading an image that was taken with "burst" or "best shot" mode (android). I will try to reduce mine further from now on!I just checked and my original cell phone pics (uncompressed) are 36 MB. If I compress them to 80% quality JPEGs they are 2.3 MB... and that is still for an image that is 3072 x 4080 pixels.
I usually reduce the image size to 904 x 1200... and compressed that gets me to 307.9K- like the image below. It is much easier on the site if you are loading threads with 300K images than 4MB images

Great to hear you did this transfer without a problem! Thx
Your news now does mean that I am officially no longer up to date with webservice programming. Dropped my programming sideline 15 years ago, but was then mostly doing php/mysql backend wor
nope. Site is twice as fast as before. And I get bell notification again, which were gone the last months.I'm not sure if anybody else is having issues but it is starting to take quite a bit longer to load the home page and subsequent pages are taking even longer.
Yeah, I have been doing some testing and it seems to only be slower just after re-booting my computer. After I access the site once from then on it is fast. So must just be something with my computer.nope. Site is twice as fast as before. And I get bell notification again, which were gone the last months.
Looks like @Bonsai Nut reverted the changes we were seeing this morning.I hardly get any ads. I only use my phone or tablet and they have ad blockers on them.
