I'll be checking out for a while. This place makes me crazy. I can't handle all the newbie crap any more and frankly just don't have the patience for it.

May be back in a couple months or not...

Time to work on the blog instead.

I'm frustrated and mad at the world.

Peace

Sorry to see you go Al, but I can understand the sentiment.
Also sorry that my trees arent further along and more interesting yet but I am slower with them than many people are I guess.
That and these things just take time.

Take care

Your knowledge and humor will be missed. Remember to take of yourself, while you are taking care of your wife.

I'll check in at your blog Al, but I'll miss your discourse here. I've learned a tremendous amount from you and always appreciate your insight and advice. Hope you see your way to drop in for a visit now and again

Scott

You will be missed by all, you expertise is beyond value. Myself I will miss your great road trip stories, you and your wife take. The two of you are a beacon of love, and humour. The world needs more folks like the two of you.

@Smoke ... Ugh...my emotions are going to get the best of me. Because...what you and your wife are facing...SUCKS! To say it mildly. Though this forum a distraction...not a positive distraction at times...to what you are facing. I can grasp your previous statements above. You will be missed here...but...you need to take care of the misses and your own mental health which is going through the ringer walking down this path with the misses. Do whatever you can that can that can bring small bouts of peace along this stretch of road...if it's saying so long guys...then, I stand here giving you a virtual wave...and sending the biggest of hugs to send you off.

You know you and Norene are in my prayers...I also pray a selfish prayer...that one day we see you back here again. Take care my friend...

Peace...
Your abundance of knowledge and skill is always a good read.
Thanks for the many trident educations.
Well wishes for you and yours, sir.

Take it easy, and look after yourself. The site and all it entails will be waiting for you.

Down to the final days now. Breathing shallow and super long between breaths. I hold my breath each time not knowing if its her last. Barely speaks. Not eating or drinking now. Can hold my hand...and eeks out a "I love you" in a garbled tone.

Hardest thing a person can ever go through...I don't wish it on anyone..

I'm so sorry to hear that Al. I just had the same sad, heartbreaking process with my wife's mom and the year before with my dad. Stay strong. The last days are extremely tough on everyone, but you and she will have the memory of having stood fast in her hour of greatest need.

My memory of my dad's passing is not of his last breathes, but of his squeezing my hand just before he passed, letting me know he knew I was there and to say goodbye. Wouldn't trade that for anything in the world.

My heart goes out to you.
I just want to hug you.
Is there anything we can do for you?
There are some here who would like to help and show you how much we care.
I'm so sorry.

I am sorry Al. My heart is breaking for you guys.
Remember the love and the life you shared.
Take solace in knowing that she will find peace at last and will no longer be suffering
