Hold on to it Pal, and please don't ever cut it! Ken tells me that this particular type stone is very hard to find now. Green jade type material is sometimes found with red jasper, but seperate. Together in one stone is fascinating. At clear creek, I find green jade/serpentine and red jasper in the bedrock of the river, but never the two together in one stone.
I have a couple five gallon buckets of blood red jasper, gem quality. Awesome stuff. I'll dig them out and post some shots as well as some clear creek jade.
Clear creek has been closed for a number of years due to asbestos. The road is open to the farmer but not the public, but walking is possible as this does not send the fibers airborne like vehicles. Time will tell, I also have access to a guy who lets us dig C. junipers in the same areas.
