Will I regret livestreaming? Find out here!

I watched for 15 minutes. Pretty good.
Thanks for stopping by! I’ve been doing little virtual hangouts here and there, most for my own entertainment and some to represent BSOP. This is only a partial substitute for the mentoring, study groups, and friend hangouts I’d usually do during repotting season.

So far it’s been a bunch of pretty predictable questions from folks: why no leaves? Does it hurt the tree? How do I grow a bonsai? Is ficus good? What’s the wire for? Do you wire every year?

The streaming on Reddit has been fun because some people will just stop by to hangout, watch, and figure stuff out. Some of those folks have explained it’s not something they want to do, like they don’t have the patience, but they just enjoy somebody sharing a pleasant hobby and the process of doing something creative.

Then there’s a bunch of people who tell me to grow weed or ask if I’ve done weed bonsai 😂

So far only one person has tried to talk shit about my bald head!

2 comments/questions I always get.
“ isn’t bonsai a specific plant?”

“have you ever tried weed bonsai?”

😂

I’ll check it next time Reid! When are you going live again?

It varies, but typically mid afternoons on weekends, Pacific time. I’ll post new links in this thread.

I watched a lot of it, and enjoyed it! Constructive criticism: you will look like more of a pro if your working surface isn't an upside-down pot... :-)

Maybe wear a hat too, the light was gleaming off your head at several points and causing distortion 😂😂😂 But I thoroughly enjoyed watching and even “shooshed” my wife a couple times when she tried talking over you 😂

Well done sir 😎👍

Try being 19-21 and saying you grow bonsai, wouldn't believe how often their next question is "so you grow trees, or 'treeees' " lol

...

Well, so have you?

I have! I live in Oregon. A neighbor randomly approached me and gave me some extra plants 😎

Reddit doesn’t quite tell you who joins and leaves the stream, but so far the nearly all the folks who are asking about weed don’t seem to stay for long or they don’t have much for follow up when I tell them I do.

In 2018, Oregon grew 1 million pounds more weed than we could consume 😂

I tuned-in for a bit while I could and enjoyed watching, and all of the Q&A. Pretty cool and I would tuned-in again!
