Stoned...

I'm apparently obsessed with roots at the moment.
I want to see an over sized conifer with neagari that hang over the edges. In my mind it a formal upright pine with uneven branching.

I use a thiick piece of foam on a stiff board to facilitate the flipping.
Ooh Foam WOULD be nice.

I normalLY "fill" the inside (With gratuity) with bandanas/rags, then use the "stiff board" approach...

I'll look for some yoga foam!

Yoga mat foam is not what I had in mind. I suggest thick soft foam like used in furniture. You can find a piece at a fabric store. Even Walmart 😝 has this kind of foam. It is more than just a soft surface. Thick foam cradles the piece.

Cool!! I look for some!!

Broken Boogie-Board Foam?

I have the same issue with books and coloring pages.
I'm afraid to finish the ones I enjoy most.
I DRAG my feet, immensely, when rounding the last chapter of written works that I really appreciate, also!

I feel ya!

Then I stand for 3 days.. staring at my shelves... trying to select the next read..

Now I read three books during the same time... so I'm NEVER left "hanging".

I'm only a few blocks from the library.
I really have no excuse to not be reading more. 😋

Is that the new kiln you were talking about a while back?
Nah..

This my good and trusty first kiln...

Gotta save for the 'lectric, now...

But I Did buy..

A new thrower.. well.. I bought it for the TIP.. but they're cheap and you gotta but the whole she-bang.

A new bottom octagon for the one I warped with improper stacking.

Aaaand a propane splitter-ma-bob. ;)

..with some money I had "reserved" for the electric kiln..

I figure I NEED at least two of these things to properly fire.. so I can actually complete some pieces.. and then hopefully start saving to get a decent (for ME), used electric kiln. so I can fire through winter.

I will also be doing any/all biscuit fires in my low-fire-woodfired-mess of a kiln.. because it dropped a 04 cone.. and I wasn't REALLY trying.

I know.. you've seen the greenware table..

But my cousin, "Studly Rob", as he's known here, from My Haiku contest 😂, asked me about my unfired pieces.. and why I wasn't producing much at the moment...

So I made these videos.. and thought I'd share.

Aldus Huxley?
Really?
