I only asked seeing that after watching the video, I did some research and found quite a bit of info from a whole slew of sites reporting this particular event...
And felt it kinda gave a little bit of insight into what was actually happening... that the film makers seemed to of forgot to include on the Video.
Let me start by saying that I worked for years in the Film and Television Industry. That I have actually worked on many Documentaries. The goal when doing a Documentary is really to be as the News is... to just report the events, to be subjective... and to not impede one's personal views into the story.
However, this rarely actually happens seeing that usually the Filmmakers have a particular point with the story they are trying to tell, and choose the angle in which they are trying to tell the story, with the initial concept of going to cover the story.
So, a Filmmaker says, let's go cover this story... and in the case of this video... Let's show it from the side of how Refugees are coming into Europe. The problem here, is that right off the bat, there is going to be some inherent bias, like it or not. The choice of how much? Is going to be up to the Filmmakers...
I say this not because of liberal or right wing thinking... but it's merely the reality of the story. If one picks to cover the angle of "How Refugees are Coming into Europe"... then the questions one would inherently have to ask to tell the story, are going to be...
1.) How does this effect Europe?
2.) Effect the Economy?
3.) The people who live there?
4.) Their Feelings Towards these People Coming in?
You are in fact, actually choosing a side, and which side to cover... and with almost certainty, the people living there, in this case Europe... are not going to view the whole event in a positive manner, due to all the uncertainty with the Questions you have asked above... and the replies of, well it is going to change things... I don't know how it is going to effect us, etc. And the understanding, that by and large... and this is important... People do not like Change.
It is very important to note this!
That even with the best intention on the behalf of the Filmmakers... there is going to be this inherent bias... Due to how they chose to "Frame" the story. Like it or Not... it is going to be there.
Now had the Filmmakers chose to cover the "Plight of the Refugees, and it's Impact on Europe"... then obvously you would end up with an entirely different approach to the same story, one could see that here you would inherently have to ask questions from both sides, get both sides views and attitudes towards what was happening, and thus tell the complete story as One should be Doing... When One Makes a Documentary. Leaving out one's personal opinion, in how they chose to cover the event, and instead leaving the viewer the ability to draw their own conclusion.
Seeing this was not done... Then in All Fairness... One really needs to take this into Consideration and ask why the Filmmakers chose to cover only one side of the story? Right? And to be fair... One really has to conclude that this was their agenda then, unless they were just bumbling idiots, seeing that we all know that with every event that happens there is all ways 2 sides to a story. This is why even when the Police show up at a problem... they ask both sides what happened to get a better picture of what took place.
So, as a concious human being... seeing both sides are not being shown... One should automatically ask why? And understand then when viewing the video that it was the Filmmakers Agenda to "Not" do so. This choice of not telling a complete story... then makes this Propaganda. With the whole intentions then to deliberately tell this story from one side. And in this case... to do so, in a way that particularly makes the other side look bad.
This assessment of the video is further backed up by the choice of what the filmmakers chose to use in the video... not only with the choice of images, the choice of dialog, the choice of commentary of those involved in the events, but also... and most importatly... what the Filmmakers chose to leave out.
They have told us that events have happened... but funny enough, never managed to tell us why they happened. They have shown us multiple scenes in many different locations, but never managed to tell us which one was where. They have showed us a mass conglomeration of what appears to be a similar event of people walking, from many different angles, and because no one is recognizable, we do not know if they are showing the Same People from these different angles, so 500 people look like 500 million people... and they do not tell us the precise numbers, other than commentary of "Not Biblical Porportions, but a Mass Exodus indeed ", and "Germany expects to receive 1.7million "... so as to give the appearance and the viewer the interpretation that this is quite literally the 1.7 million people that they talk about.
I mean, really this whole video is plagued with idiocrcy the whole way through...We are shown violence occurring, without the events of images or narrative of what lead up to these events or caused the events, Again, many different angles of what could be one event, so the viewer does not know know if it is... or if it is millions if events? If it is in one Town, or if this is happening in every town across Europe?
As I said... this looks like an Apocalyptic Event of All Hell Breaking Loose! One that should have Everyone Scared! For if it is happening in Greece, Hungary, even Germany, of which by the way, the story funny enough doesn't show any events in Germany, but Mentions it... It could Happen Everywhere! People should be Frightened, they should Shit their Pants! As the video says... "These People Want to Kill Each Other"!!! And only want "Money, Money, Money"!!!
With Trying to Scare the Hell out of People... The Filmmakers have done an Incredible Job! It works... and my Hat Goes Off to Them! They did what it was they set out to do!
Now, if only the other 40 plus sites I came across researching the Event after watching, had backed up what I saw in the Video... Then... Perhaps, I too Would Be Scared! However, I am not really surprised when I found a more compassionate side of people being Ripped Off by Scum trying to make loads of money off of those willing to pay what ever the cost out of pure desperation for their love one's safety... How the various Governments who didn't want to deal with them were making it more difficult, and creating a much bigger problem out of what already was a humanitarian crisis... trying to put them in future camps, blocking access by rail to even those with money, in fact actually pulling all the trains out, do as to leave them I stranded, no humanitarian aid to help those in need, no medical aid for the sick or injured, no system setup to properly deal with them, no speakers of their languages, people not knowing where water or food was, where the bathroom was... That again, they were willing to pay for... even though in a couple if cases acording to reporters... they were standing right in front of free water brought by caring citizens and surprise. .. harassment by Police, security and every day citizens, etc.
I mean, I really gotta say... that after reading and hearing the other side of the story... The Countries involved in the video really dropped the Ball on something they knew was coming and should of been much better prepared for... That they really Fucked Up!
And like it or not.... really hold the Brunt of the Blame for what we see in the Video.
I mean... let's be honest for a moment. If all of these people Were Terrorist. .. they would have had a Slaughter on their Hands! Due to a lack of obviously "No Plan", of how to properly deal with the Problem! Hoping they don't come is not a Plan... Having a bunch of People running through your Streets as the Video shows... Who you should be Afraid of, according to the video... Seems a little like who ever was in charge of the Country, should probably not be... Right? Seeing that having a bunch of people running through streets, even if it is their own citizens, would normally have some sort of proper security, if nothing else... to at least keep them safe from getting hit by cars, or something... but, these were people they didn't even know, Right? In one of the stories... I actually read, that they pulled the police out in their Entirety. Really??? So, just let anyone run down your streets?
Perhaps, the Filmmakers if they really wanted to do a service... should of covered this aspect... Which as a Viewer... would of Been much More Frightening. Knowing that their Government, doesn't know what the Hell it is doing...was grossly unprepared ... for a situation, that to be honest, wasn't and didn't need to be so Apocalyptic. Can you Imagine if the Shit really did hit the Fan?
