It's grown well enough considering how hot it's been here this summer. I've been fertilizing heavily, hoping for a second flush of growth, but it's still in the 90's here pretty much every day, so everything on the benches except the junipers and the tridents haven't done much growing for about 6 weeks. How has this tree been doing this season?

Yup, starting pines this weekend... I have too many trees!!!I'm doing the repot shuffle right now as well! I love spring and all the work it brings

Saturday morning's forecasted low is 35F, but my micro climate will actually work in my favor this weekend and I bet it won't fall below 40F in my back yard. Such a crazy year...I had tridents under my deck with visible leaves on them in January.... I have at least 5 landscape tridents with leaves on them right now... the maple in this thread had swelling buds 3 weeks ago and now has leaf edges showing... I have JBP with 4" long candles!!!! All kept out of the sun and on the ground ... crazy!Glad I haven't started any repotting yet...
THE WEEKEND: Much cooler air flows into the state following the cold front Friday night; Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny and cool with a high close to 60 degrees both days. Sunday morning will feature a freeze for most North/Central Alabama communities with lows between 28 and 32 degrees.
Though I'm not sure how much longer they're gonna wait...lots of buds swelling.
I do... it's currently planted in the yard for about two years now. I've got too many projects and this one got bumped off the bench. It's growing well and I've pruned it back periodically. Maybe next spring, I'll dig it up and check the roots out.Do you still have it? I'm really curious to see how it developed
