ANYWAY, I didnt see the roots after you cut those big tuberish knobs off. Were there any fine roots left or are you just letting it throw out all new roots like a cutting? I know they root like crazy after following adamaskwhy's blog this year. He has a ton of ficus and would be a nice read for you if you haven't seen his blog before.

There were some roots on one of the remaining tubers, I didn't want to treat it as a cutting after just taking it home. I figured a trim and repot would be enough stress to it

I have seen Adam's blog a few times, incredible work he does.

If you're really trying to figure out what you're wrong about, start with your comments to Ed, a normally funny decent guy. It is more civil to debate the topic, rather than to trash the debater.

Ryan, it was a misunderstanding and you escalated it by name calling. Had you stuck with your facts, it would have been averted (judging from how Ed responded after).

Why don't we talk about the tree which looks much better now and have a chance of being a bonsai.

There you go again. I told you this before...if you must leave JUST DO IT. Do not broadcast and wait for people to ask you to stay.

I believe the last time you did this was after the Marcosolo(?) event where you have the entire forum behind you but you pushed and milked it to the point you became the bad guy.

Talk about your trees inside...I am sure people would love to hear and see what is happening while most trees are buried in snow.

The BRT I airlayered and severed on November (dropped all the old ones) have new set of leaves now. Most of the tropical trees which were pruned heavily before coming in are also starting to sprout. The strong ones have extra long internodes though so they will be chopped back to a node come spring.

I spend most of my free time inside the garage (with my trops) these days...because it is cold outside and the darn allergies. I hate cedar pollen!!!!
