My understanding is lilacs of all kinds root VERY easily.I have a dwarf variety shrub lilac and would like to try air layering a decent sized branch but its a very old bush and the bigger limbs are probably decades old. Would it even be worth trying?

I would love to see how those look, even if they're not yet finished. Most of my ground/layers are 2-400+ years old.
Ok here's some. Rule of thumb where these grow is 100 years per caliper inch. A tiny seed falls in a crack of pahoehoe (smooth lava). Much like juniper grows in granite in the sierras. Mostly raw stock.I would love to see how those look, even if they're not yet finished.
