Balsam Fir from Christmas tree farm

Écris-moi en privé.

As for Christmas tree farm, I’ll try it someday, definitely worth it. Go straight for the weird, crooked unsellable ones, as Leo suggested.
Yeah it’s a fun way to practice on field grown stock.. and not on a Yamadori as of yet. The Blue spruce I got has a twin trunk with multiple leaders and bends close to ground as you can see

Still got to do detail wiring and fix some wiring on the pads with smaller gauge this week but here is the Blue Spruce. Using knob cutters was a god send for cutting away some areas where there was a whirl , then sealing with cut paste. The soil was shale so I just opened up the burlap as it was dig out yesterday , all the roots and soil still in it and then some added sphagnum moss in a cheap container till spring.

Did some detail wiring and brought branches down... I feel there is good separation of layers/ pads that in future will come out nicely.
