I was surprised how popular this convention is. The workshop hall, housing all the workshops, was so full that one could barely walk around without bumping into each-other. The quality of the workshop material was so-so, the best being Kenji Miyata's little Red Pine (densiflora) pre-bonsai.

The vendors had a great selection of everything, I had to stop myself to spend over the one grand that I budgeted for this (and I didn't spend anything on hotel, since I stayed only for the day).

The exhibit was of very good quality, I really loved the two mini-tokonoma on display. Al did a great job on them, using the simplest of materials. I really have to try to make something similar this coming summer.
