Indoor Bonsai. I don't know if there's a potter who calls himself "Indoor Bonsai" but if so, there you go. Otherwise - it's just a label to let the reader know what the pot's supposed to be used for, I guess.. ;)

Um, well, "bonsai" kanji characters are only part of the signature. It would help if you posted a pic of the entire pot.

It would also be helpful if you said how it was acquired. That can provide some clues to.

If Tokoname you can find artist Kanji here:
http://www.tokoname.or.jp/bonsai/maker-e.htm

Thanks for the link, I have a signed Tokoname pot I've just repotted a Mugo in, and was wondering about the seal, and the..."comment?" next to it:

Haven't had time to search through the list though.

Here's another link that you might find interesting: the potters are in alphabetical order, so there's a lot of Chinese seals at the letter "C", and Tokoname potters are of course at the letter "T", but there are many other Japanese potters seals pictured there too:

Isn't there a way to list a couple of links as "Sticky", or whatever, a thread that stays at the top with a very clear mention of the basic resources it's about, for instance :

"List of signatures and seals"

Other links I have in my bookmarks:

http://www.bonsai-en.com/web_bonsai/macetas_de_autor (very limited)
http://bonsaipotplaza.com/world/bonsaiasia.html (not so many)
https://www.bonsaiempire.com/locations/potters/bonsai-potters-europe (a few european potters)

A wiki from our friends who walk on the ceiling:
http://www.ausbonsai.com.au/wiki/index.php?title=Bonsai_Potters_and_Ceramists

A wiki is a very interesting concept, it can be easy to complete a list on a collaborative basis...
