Collected a winged maple?!?

So while looking around the parents property for some small stuff to collect up i found a little group of winged maples. I never knew such a thing existed. Anyone have such a thing as a bonsai?

I believe that is a sweet gum, I have a few in training, ground and container. Fun trees!
I'll get you pics in a bit.

Thank you again - very interesting about the 'wing' effect. I don't seem to see it on any of the examples of mature bonsai trees. I will have to see how long it lasts.
I have noticed that fast growth does not get as winged as slower.
