Des Plaines, my River

I arguably have a more unnecessary post elsewhere!

Totally relevant!
Though, relatively disgusting!
If it is a relative.

Bluegill (orwhatever the hell it is!) also on the wallydiver. With a largie on it here the other day, smallies, northern, walleye.....all in one place, one lure.

That's a river version of a grand slam!
With a sacrifice bunt to boot!
I'm going for it! Gotta have goals right @carp lol!

Speaking of which, have you hopped off Vance yet?

Not reducing Sorces thread to a flame war with you and your vulgarity.
A real professional guy supposed to be taking care of a nice collection of bonsai.

I don't mind the vulgarity!

I wish you guys wouldn't fight!
(don't care of you do here!)

But I like you both. I understand Carp.

I can't pretend I don't say uneccesary stuff.

Carp's rather odd brand of lunacy is right up my entertainment alley!

You know there are studies that shows those who curse more often vs those who choose their words more carefully are more honest.

And besides, if you, @M. Frary , don't want to be insulted, don't throw out insults. I'm young and grew up with the internet, I find amusement in the trolling, so keep feeding me bait.

Should I actually post photos of my work from time to time? No one is interested in tropicals on this forum, besides a few indoor growers, so I never bother with it, but maybe if I did you would stop bothering me about larches.

Well there's lil ole me and I don't do lights.. Love to see more of your personal collection and the curated one.

I would have to agree with that based on personal experience.

People that don't curse all of the time have might have better social skills and a better grasp of the language they use.
Cursing a lot tells me that people don't know the correct words they want to convey. Illiteracy is a sad,sad thing.

I have might have to disagree.

For what it's worth I have to work with a bunch of NY'ers who use the "F" word every third word. Noun, verb, adjective, adverb, etc...but they're all extraordinarily high functioning, accomplished individuals. But it certainly never sounds classy.

I was an actor for 20 years at the Shaw Festival, N.O.T.L.,Canada doing the whole cycle of his plays. In order to be a member of the ensemble and do Shaw, the actors had have a MUCH better than average understanding of the English language.. But in the dressing room, at parties. in rehearsal: many vulgarities. I was as guilty as anyone else. Still am, on occasion.

The early settlers used to dump their trash in the gullies running to the river. Also when the forest preserve district acquired the land in the 1930's they bulldozed the houses and buried everything.

These are some neat finds.

My mother worked with the "boyfriend" of Diane Masters, who was found in the trunk of her yellow Cadillac down in Willow Springs. Her husband did "free" legal work for dirty cops. She was going to divorce him and talk to the Feds about his buddies. Several cops went to prison when the found over a dozen cars that they or family reported stolen for an insurance scam.
