Different perspective of a few trees

Seems to be easier to remove moss when it's growing on sphagnum too. Less mess in your soil from the moss if you collected it and put it on.

Thats an amazing slab, you should work to a bit more finished look.
It doesnt look like the trees are growing on the slab but more that the planting is just put on it. A bit more smooth transition would help.

And get rid of the stains on the turntable part.

A few improvments can make this much better looking i think.

This planting was only created this spring...in time all the pieces will come together. The elms need to fill in with more pruning, the Shimpaku need to be wired and moss needs to added. So, you can see there is still a lot I want do before I'm happy with this planting. But, thanks for your comments, always appreciated.

Had some extra moss from yesterday...used 5 more trays to moss... Or as my father inlaw says, "sod":) this planting

Nice. Is that a stream or a path? If stream, it looks a little straight?

I did notice the mixed planting--Arthur Joura would love it.
That is one serious "slab"! I hope it is where it will rest; at 300+ lbs, it would take almost as many strong men as there are trees!

Yes...it is not going anywhere! I actually built the forest right where it sits and have no plans to move or show it. It's on a turntable so I can rotate for even growth.

The path is just some decomposed granite sprinkled on for now...I fully expect it to be temporary and to wash as I water.
