I've decided to start a new thread of weekend photos of my garden for your amusement. A little over a year into this, and trying to learn as much as I can in too little time. I'll keep throwing pictures up here, might be a bit repetitive at times (hope ya don't mind) and you guys critique if you want. If not, scroll on by, no worries. In the end im having a blast, and trying not to kill too many trees!

Have you been able to get any dragon fruit yet? And if so did you have to pollinate by hand?

Second season with the dragon fruit and nothing yet...it has doubled in size. I can't give that thing enough water and ferts!

I had mine in the ground, I was allowing it to climb up a dead grapefruit tree. I pretty much ignored it. It would get plenty of flowers but never any fruit. I was planning to look up how to hand pollinate them when the old tree carcass got knocked over in a storm. I was able to save a few sections but no flowers since. At least I don't think so since they flower at night and I haven't really been watching.

I live in a townhouse, so anything I put in the ground gets beat up by the landscapers. So I just chucked it up on a shelf. Then a duck tried to make a nest in the pot and ripped the plant out and chucked it on the ground. I removed the duck and sent her on her way, hence the chicken wire over the pot. Then I replanted the dragonfruit and it didn't skip a beat. Has yet to flower tho

This is my dwarf strongbark. I know its ugly but it's an endangered south florida species so give it a break. Has little white flowers half the year and little orange fruit. Like the bc he likes it on the swampy side...

My hollywood juniper. I am letting him grow and fatten up a bit before I start chopping him back. What time of year would be good for that down here in south florida? Spring?
