Ebay Posting, A must see.

Are you familiar with political dinner fund raiser? Those $500 or even $5,000 a plate dinners? That is how.

They hold these and "invite" people they know and in exchange for their signature, they get to wine and dine for FREE with the elite. Everybody wins...person eats for free, politician suddenly have a new legal "donor" to his campaign fund for the amount of the meal. The loss is the meal price which, most of the time, is also "donated" or heavily discounted anyway. ;)

Not always. For politicians that legitimately need to raise money they hold dinners and charge like you said $500 a plate or whatever. $5000 is more the then maximum single donation allowed for certain positions at least at the state level. By charging they insure they will receive your donation and not just try to get a free meal and rub elbows

re: Landscape Japanese Maple

You know if this weren't so pathetic it might be laughable. My green japanese maples have better fall color than that and much better trunks. They also produced seed finally so I would not let them go even at that price. Perhaps this is some sort of money laundering scheme like was stated above. I hope so cause I would hate for someone to be duped by one of these rip off "deals".

How about landscape Japanese Maple. You just have to dig and move yourself, not to mention hope it doesn't die.
