Ugh...that GINKGO!!! L?VE IT ! I know the Ume is...stunning. Just because it's not what one expects. But that Ginkgo is a knockout! I am swaying to the Ginkgo...maybe instead of the Ume. It's like it's going to the show and flexing its muscles...by showing off the chi's.

For moss...can't you just rehydrate it? I collected moss in the winter. It was not green by any means...placed damp paper towels on it for a day and then stuck under grow light and less than a week it was bright green. Just a thought...

Honestly...I just collected a bucket for a friend. A damp paper towel after watering them well...had the one green by the next morning it was dry as toast and brown. But knew it had not been treated with weed killer since taken off my flagstone walkway. Add moisture and they green up real fast. The other I spoke of I had in my mame pot. That one brown one...was not placed under grow light...but left in bucket with a damp paper towel over it.

The Ume for me. It's the most comfortable in the pot.
