I'm looking to buy Hornbeam stock for a forest planting I'm working on. Ideally around 5-7 trees with 1.5 -2.5 foot trunks, 1-3" caliper. Nothing too developed, just rough stock with maybe some primary branching.

I've been looking for nursery stock used for hedging etc, but haven't had much luck. Is there a particular source that's better for such material?

Which means you gotta get a "nursery guy".

Korean or American hornbeam? Korean hornbeam are so expensive these days are the size that you're looking for are $100+ each as pre-bonsai material. Good luck

Probably American or European Hornbeam. I love the korean Hornbeam but don't want to shell out quite that much.

Jay, pm me, we could potentially be neighbors given your location. I’ll be hunting some hornbeam material soon and know some good locations; also, work in plants.
