I got this little tree at Bonsai sale event in 12/2008. It was in 3 gal. plastic pot with very poor drainage. It was transplanted to the new environment on 3/8/09 with akadama + pumice, ratio 1:1. Its trunk base is 1.5" and height is 9".
1st pic. in 12/08
2nd pic. in 5/6/09
From 3rd pic. to the rest taken today
4th, 5th pic. show shari on trunk and the bark.

Different views of the tree. I like the tree in 3rd and 4th pic. It looks like the tree is on the cliff and trying to hold on to it as the strong wind is attempting to blow the tree to below ocean. A struggle between the tree and the wind. What do you think?

Its last year needles have a brown tips which is an evidence of the poor soil in the past.
You can see a newly weak candle. Tree is in stress, I believe. It will be untouchable until 2010.

Bonhe, I like your idea with the last two pictures you posted. Its more dynamic. Will you combine this with a rock of some sort or you think that this will be too much?

Hi Snobird, I'm not intending to place it in the miniature landscape or on rock. Thanks for your comment.

Hi Painter, at least one branch has to be gone. I'll sketch it later.
