I've been having trouble finding Lime - Sulfur for treating deadwood. I've always used Ortho Dormant Disease Control but none of the local nurseries / Garden Centers carry it anymore.
I finally found it online at www.groworganic.com and thought I'd pass the info along.

Thanks Paul, note at the bottom of the page these notes -

California commercial growers are required to send us a copy of their Operator Identification form.

This product cannot be shipped to MI.

Maybe the "ban " in the other thread is just there. MI, and Ca..

Add WA to that list... but it appears to be a voluntary pulling of the product by the producers themselves. So as supply dries up... maybe others will step up to fill the demand.

Also look carefully at the label on lime sulfur preparations at garden centers.

I've seen one sold by Ortho that is a dormant oil/lime sulfur mix that is NOT suitable for bonsai purposes. It contains oil, which makes a mess when applied to deadwood. I don't know if it's still being sold, however.

There's an option to state that you are not a commercial grower and they'll ship to you.

Is Jim Gremel no longer offering it? I got some from him the last time I saw him at the BIB show.

2.5 GALLONS?!?!? I bought a pint 3 years ago and I still have a half pint.

What do you do with 2.5 gallons of the stuff?
