I am experimenting with my camera phone. I know I need a tripod and better lighting etc. However here are a few of my trees/projects.
1. California Live Oak.
2. San Jose Juniper
3. Shimpaku grafted on to a variegated Prostrata (Very little styling done yet) (letting tips grow)
4. Procumbens Negari Style (First styling)
5. Shimpaku Twin Trunk

I love that juniper. The small live vein really caught my attention. Very nice!

All the California live oaks I have ever seen were umbrella shaped, not pointy topped. I take it you are not in the naturalistic school of bonsai.

Thanks JKL,
You are right of course. I live in an area full of Live Oaks in all shapes. This is a fairly new tree and was basically styled like this when I got it in December 2012. I do need to let the apex and upper branches eventually form a wider canopy. It throws out new growth like crazy, so it should be an easy fix over time. I do still like the tree even in it's un-natural state. For 20 bucks I couldn't pass it up. I appreciate your experience and insight.
Thanks,
Tona
