Milwaukee Bonsai Society Show 23 thru 26 June 2022

I will be there tomorrow/saturday or Saturday/sunday.

It is my birthday on saturday so my parents offered to pay for a room.

So I'll bring Andrea and the boys with, and when they get tired, they can go back to the hotel/eat/swim.

I'm not getting too excited, though.. my life has a way of "psyche"ing me about plans I make.

I'll be there daily, noon thru close and the Saturday banquet. I'm not going on Sunday, I will be bonsai exhausted by Sunday. Got to help my brother with a project on Sunday.

Darn, I missed this post! I was there this afternoon and during tonight's Conifer wars. I'm not sure if we met but I'll be there tomorrow as well for the whole day, including the banquet. I'll look for you!

Definitely meet up with @Leo in N E Illinois if you can. He introduced me to lots of people a few years back when he came down for a show near me.

THAT WAS AWESOME!!!

My stay was short, but being my first exhibit/show I was utterly moved by all I saw.

I sat in as a silent observer on two different workshops, 2 Todds and 1 Marc.. made awesome contacts with some of the Vendors who enjoyed my clay work and seemed interested.

I walked the exhibit many times... my FAVORITE time was the walk-through I took with @Leo in N E Illinois , who understood this was my first time viewing an exhibit, and took the time to explain the intricacies, subtleties and nuances of Displaying Tiny Trees in "show style".

By the time I met up with Original Leo, my phone was dead (well dead enough that pictures could NO longer be taken.)

But it DID happen!

Leo and I also got "asked to move or quiet down" once...

We were loudly (at least I was) shootin the breeze as the Francois demo was starting.

A lot of my pictures came out blurry, or poorly angled... but here's some.

The show trees were professionally photographed by Sam Ornaga? Spelling? There will be a show photo book in a month or so. Much like the book put out by the National Show in Rochester NY.

So for that reason I have not taken many photos.
