Here's my Catalpa I collected three years ago as a sapling. It spent two years in progressively larger containers and all of last year in the ground. I know it will not respond well to bonsai techniques but it was free and I like it, lol. Just wanted to share the gnarly trunk it has developed and yes it's in a litter box. Pictures show with and without can for scale and a couple close ups of the root base along with a weed in so tight of a cranny I cannot get to it.
