I followed along with Eastern Leaf video teaching how to start a juniper. Let me know what you guys think please. I have no real idea if I did ok or too much. All advice is welcome. Thank you.

Not looking bad.

A hit for when you have to work with bypass pruners, keep the flat cutting blade against the branch so it takes the branch you're cutting off as flush as possible.
Any wiring to come, or just not there yet? I personally don't like it except for when absolutely necessary. I prefer guy wires and weights.

I kind of learned that as I went. Keeping the cutting side toward the branch definitely makes a cleaner cut. I’m planning on letting it all heal and get through the winter safely. Then do the first wiring and clean the trunk up a little more. I get nervous about doing too much at once. I thought since I pruned so much I should stop while I was ahead.

I try to do the same. Every time I think the tree is tough enough to handle it, I prove myself wrong. LoL
Pretty sure it's just me though.

You saved a lot of interior branches, and that's a good start. Working from the outside inwards to reduce the size is something most people don't do when they start hacking junipers.

Pfizers have sparse open foliage, so that will be a challenge down the road, but you did good for now.

Tried some wiring and twisting. I feel pretty good about getting the practice in. Some local inspiration really helps sometimes.
