One of my favorite pots

I am going to sell this pot if anyone is interested. It’s still unused and new. Always stored indoors. I just don’t have a tree to fit this pot and probably won’t have in the future.
If this was mentioned earlier in this thread I missed it. That means others did too. How large is it? Is it marked? How much are you asking?

My favourite pot? I hope I can post more than one.

As a start a Tokoname pot by Ejiri Taizan roughly 32/24/9 cm. The colours are amazing with a purple hue at the rim and an iridescent shine.

The outside size is 7.3” x 5.9” x 2.6”
I have attached additional photos with markings. There are no chips or other imperfections. My thinking is $95 plus USPS shipping. Interested offers considered. Shipping would likely be USPS well packed in bubble wrap.
I just don’t, and won’t, have a tree to fit.

I blame this thread for going deep down the bonsai pot rabbit hole during covid. Surprisingly I haven't posted any yet, it's time I rectify that. IMG_0051.JPG

Cute little rectangle by Fuuka, love the delicate feet.
It's been 3 years since I started collecting so plenty more to come :)

Apparently, I like old pots from the Shuho kiln. Just picked up the cream glazed one here from Matt Ouwinga, having bought the unglazed one from him a few months ago. Didn't notice the maker's name on either one at the time I got them.

A trio of genuine nanbans all from S-Cube. No idea why I thought I needed three so similar, but I loved the first one I received and felt they were attractively priced for pots with such age and character. As the saying goes, they don't make antiques anymore.
The grey splotch on the third one looks like an epoxy repair but on closer inspection its a gorgeous glaze drip, possibly from a pot above or from the ceiling of the wood-fired kiln.

I've become a big fan of Ikkou, his glazes are subtle but have plenty of variation and character. His build quality is first rate too, I class him a step above the other Tokoname kilns known for their glazed wares.

This 41cm white glazed oval might be my current Ikkou favourite, sadly it's a crappy photo while I was experimenting with my set-up. If motivation strikes this weekend I'll attempt to take some better ones.

I've got these three heading my way. I'll probably have to get a 3rd or 4th opinion from my wife/daughters (one daughter probably can't be troubled to give an opinion) about which one I should keep. Heian Izumiyama Purple Crystal Bowl. (Square, Oval, and Mokko)

(Pretty sure this is a) Koyo with a namako glaze that a friend brought back from Japan for me. I've promised to let him know before I get rid of it

I have one with the same style of glaze and one with the more typical spotted glaze.

I'd have to say this carved dragon by Amamiya Shinobu comes out slightly ahead of everything else I own. Normally I find a dragon pretty hokey, but the attention to detail and elegance in his work really sets it apart.

I was also starstruck by this rinkka pot the moment I saw it, I purchased it back when I didn't have the forethought to record the artisan behind the pot for my own references and haven't been able to trace the chop mark back to anyone yet. Provence aside I'm very excited to make some use of it this season

And lastly a Reiho that was a gift to myself using some Christmas money. I thought perhaps I might have an immediate use for it, but I suspect that may have been me getting charmed by the pot alone once again.

Your mystery pot looks like it might be a Sharaku. I have a few and the design and clay is bang on, but I haven't seen that glaze before.
I love Shinobu's pots too, I have one I'll hopefully upload some pictures of soon.
Keep 'em coming people, I'm sure there's plenty pot addicts out there like me who just never got around to posting each time they bought some new pots!

Great call, I think you were totally on point after referencing some more of his chops.

Yep, I agree. I compared the signature to mine and while none are identical, to my untrained eye they look like the same kanji
