Prunus Incisa help

I use Bayer 3 in 1 Rose Care. They use a lot of water, need sun but the leaves start to get pretty beat up early, like now. Remember, it's a very early plant, leafing and flowering in early mid April here, almost always past its prime by my club's meeting the 4th Wed.
Thank you very much for the knowledge. Are you also saying by end of summer this plant will have no leaves left? Or do they keep them longer ?

It will have leaves that look used up. Nothing is forever, and you're buying it for the flowers which are wonderful...

Don't water the foliage while it's in bloom and the flowers will hang on for longer, long enough for all of them to turn pink.

Wow outstanding bonsai you got there I hope to someday have something just as nice.
As always thanks for sharing

I keep mine in full sun.....though I'm in Seattle, so the intensity of the sun isn't as great as it can be elsewhere. I also wanted to mention that I routinely harvest the tiny cherries and plant them in other growing pots. I think that I had 5 germinate this year. They seem somewhat slow, but then, the mother plant doesn't leap either.

Well I was able to pick this up today and before I use it is it good for what I have described? In addition seeing it was just potted is there a time frame when I should start to apply?
Again as always thank you everyone

I know neem oil is used as a fungicide but I have no experience with it in this regard. I mostly use it inside on tropicals in the winter if I see an insect or mite problem starting up. I use it for spot treatment basically.

Well the tree looks stable but has lost a good portion of it leaves. I see tiny little little leaves here and there and the buds look to be getting bigger but won’t know for sure until at least a week or two go by. But in the mean time going to read this nice magazine I was able to acquire from eBay. Lol

will keep ya posted

Hi everyone

just wanted to post and update of my little tree. I defoliated some of the branches it encourage some new growth as the old leaves where drawing to many nutrients from the new growth. As of today and I have been going real slow doing a few leaves each morning to encourage new growth. Well it’s working as I have lots of new buds and a lot are opening at the very top of the tree.
I don’t know if this is good or bad but at least she’s pulling through.

Somebody want to explain to me the utility of ferts w/o N? Seems to me that non-big flower or fruit trees would prosper with ~5-1-1 just fine, or something like Milorganite's typical analysis. Hmmmm?

It’s a great question as I would also like to know. It here is a picture of feeding instructions straight out or Peter Adams book.

0-10-10 - what a waste of money. Does a tree growing in the ground suddenly up root itself and walk to a patch of nitrogen free ground in Autumn? It’s used to synthesize amino acids, proteins, chlorophyll, nucleic acids, and enzymes, crucial to vascular thickening, callus formation, preparing the tree for winter and budding out in Spring. Trees have evolved to be genetically programmed to take whatever chemicals are needed depending on the season...

Not to speak of the eventual surplus of P & K over a short time if 0-10-10 was the choice of routine fert.

If the substrate is good quality the fert will last 24 hours before it's washed out. I tend to give my trees a lot of water as mine drains really well.

If my media shucked my ferts in 24 hours I would jump in the lake.

thank you for the explication of the 0-10-10 but as I am really new to this type of tree and have been trying to care for it as best as I can based on everything I have read. So that’s why I am using it as of now. But I will say my tree is really opening up as you can see from the pics below. I don’t know if it has anything to do with the feeding or it’s just happy getting full sun all day long and plenty of water.
