Does it have any potential as a twin trunk or is it too lanky? Should I keep it as bonsai or throw it in the ground as a landscape shrub? (the top was defoliated because the leaves were huge)

I think it has potential but leaving leaves on the smaller trunk only is backwardsing it's potential. Don't reckon I'd "even it out" at this point, just keep the balance the other way in the future.
