Three more inhces of snow yesterday. We now have had over 108 inches this winter and set and all time record. I still can't see my trees.
Yeah with the winter you guys have had at least you got the record. My Bostonian friends were actually hoping for at least a couple of inches this weekend.

it's that white thing people have to shovel out of driveways when they live at really crappy places!! ;)
No way, you don't know what you're missing man!:) Beautiful out there in the snow today, skiing was awesome, better than half rippable today. 2/3rds rippable even, that's pretty damn good. Shoveling I admit is not super fun, can always try to get away with the old 4x4 park'n'pack technique, that's pretty fun and can get you a long ways but eventually someone is stuck real good in the driveway, hopefully some poor meter reader who calls a plow truck to the rescue;).
Ever had a case of the screaming barfies?

Got a little collecting to do myself.
Found some free urban yamadori near me. A nice azalea and two unknowns, but the movement was very nice...couldn't pass it up.

That's not a record I want to ever be part of. Maybe the most girlfriends or something lIke that.

The snow melted enough over the last 2 weeks enough to be able to touch some trees. They all seem fine. Even the ones that I thought maybe had some die back from extreme cold. Everything I can touch is nice and supple and not snapping off.
Now I'm just waiting for them to unthaw. Going to be a while as its 0 degrees right now but spring is coming.
That brown thing is a Chinese elm. It refuses to drop it's leaves in the fall. That is one I was worrying about. But it seems fine even though it never got completely covered by snow. It saw temps lower than minus 35 this year and seems to be fine. At least not all dried out and brittle.
