Was this recently potted up? Keep branch till Autumn to generate energy, but cut lower needles on it leaving a stub at the sheath.
Keep apical leader as long as it can go. Feet tall...

Yes it was repotted about 10 days ago (also the other one).

Just repotted I would leave it alone for now, not handling branches to cut needles but
protect from the incoming windstorm Thursday night into Friday, keep in full Sun otherwise.

yup，will be windy on Friday, 11am - 7pm
