At least you won't get diaper rash. How the hellvetica did I miss this!!!
I will post a BETTER picture, later...
But here's a hilarious Christmas story, involving me frightening tourists, accidentally, that you all may find cheerfully amusing.
On our way back, today, from Iron Mountain Michigan....in the dark.... I decide to grab some a&d ointment from a bag and apply it to some areas of my face, where my skin was getting a little ashy/chapped (it's real cold, dry, and bright here!). No big deal.
The boy's Mother and the boys then drop me back off at the house, where I stand outside, to smoke a cigarette before entering.
I hear an older couple, walking slowly down the "historic downtown" street, speaking about the window displays. "Oh this is such a cute little town."... All that stuff.
When they near me, I turn to face them and bellow, "Happy Holidays, Folks!".
To which the woman looks disgustedly at me, and hurries ahead of her husband, who, out loud goes, "AHH!" AND joins his wife, hurrying down the block.
Confused, I yell, one more time, before they hit the corner, "Merry CHRISTMAS?!"... no reply.
I walk upstairs and after checking to see what was on my glasses.... Made an interesting discovery.
In the dark..
I grabbed..... Desitin.

Not those cheeks anyway. At least you won't get diaper rash.
My grandmother made one of those, maybe about the same time. My mother inherited it, and I recall as a child it was one of my favorite Christmas decorations. I couldn't wait to get it out of the box and set all the little lights in their place. All my trees are under snow or wrapped in automated watering lines before I got on vacation next week, but here's something at least!
I know you can buy these in stores, but this one is special. One of 3 made by my great aunt in '77.

May have been almost exactly the same (aside from glaze)! Atlantic molds were pretty popular back in the day!My grandmother made one of those, maybe about the same time. Thanks for bringing back those memories!![]()

My grandmother had a ceramics workshop, so we also had a lot of stuff she made. There were a couple Christmas trees just like that. My favorite was a little house with Santa sticking out of the chimney. This brought up some very nice old memories! My grandmother made one of those, maybe about the same time. My grandma didn't have her own workshop, but it came in a close second to fishing for pastimes. My grandmother had a ceramics workshop, so we also had a lot of stuff she made.
