.. Too straight for my liking so I bent it. 2" at the base, 1-1/2" at bend area and done with make shift bending tools out of branch trimmings, wires and turnbuckles. LOL Bent about 20 degrees. This is probably the hardest wood I bent to date. :)

..

Oh my! Why didn't you use a rebar?? You have a complicated mind, dear.;) By the way, shoes on the grill can cause multo trouble..

What in the he%% do you plan to do with that Dario? By the way I love BRT's and have been looking for the one for a couple of years.

Bald cypress. One year after trunk chop. Very heavy big boy. Fence is 6 foot. All the trees I have posted are not in my back yard were my favorites live. These are projects including the oak in the front yard.

That's a nice base. You have a plan?

Awesome buttonwood! Do you know who collected it? It has some of the best deadwood I've seen, really old and full of character.

Not sure who actually collected it (Buttonwood). Glad you like it.

Lets forget that I already carved the heck out of this stump.. I'm curious, what would you do with this swamp maple? And no, burn pile is not an option.

I would take it back to the swamp..:p.. Don't know, tell me what you did.

I am known to complicate things...for me as long as the job got done. ;) Chalk it up for learning things on my own (one point to the "attend formal classes" crowd ;) )

The shoes on the grill are not my doing...I blame the wife for that. :D

That is sure one way to see it. Hey, if it works for you, that's okay. If she placed the shoes on the grill, there is hope for peace..:)

Yes flattop design. Grow out chop back build ramifications and branch size. First years growth after trunk chop. I also plan to carve down further to help the taper.

The trunk is very strong for a flat top design, just my thought. Carving down to create taper and settle for one apex can create a very appealing tree.

Hi, that is an interesting Juniper! Can you post a picture with a rather plain background? I really like to see all sides of it, if possible. Intruiging design!

Hope companion plants fit. I figure if a sixty footer works, this will too.
