Tree for sale on Facebook Bonsai Classifieds

I think it was pulled when no one initially bid on it... he probably wasn't REALLY willing to let it go for 800....lol I should have bid when my gut told me to. lol When I went back to look for it, it was gone. :(

It was 18 inches tall with a 4 inch wide trunk.... AND chichis!!!!

Soooo sad......

You know who the seller was (right?), just send him/her a message with an offer.

Was it one of those reserve auctions? Starting bid of $800 with reserve...meaning they might want at least $2000 for it. I pretty much always skip those as I consider it a waste of time to be guessing what someone might want for an item.

Unfortunately not. I was looking at it too; my minion has developed a thing for Ginko's and I might have tried to get it for him.

I saw it on my phone and didn't catch who was selling it at the time.... lol

Oh well.... if it comes up again... I'll dive in. :)

It was blue river bonsai out of Nebraska. I have bought a couple of pots off of bonsai classifieds. Both times I have not won the bid but asked the seller if they have a similar pot. Its worked out well for me.

All,

If you are in NC or SC, I need to sell the tree listed on Bonsai Classifieds here:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/311535095608900/

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=264855883721573&set=pcb.643649525730787&type=1&theater

I have moved and it won't survive the new, sunny yard. If you are interested, please use Bonsai Classifieds to inquire.

Regards,
Martin

Beautiful trees. Sure wish I had some extra cash right now but I just spent it all on the grandchildren. Good luck on selling this planting to a great new home.

One point to make on Bonsai Classified is we see names most of us recognize and know their reputation. I like this much better than eBay for this simple reason...I am not saying I don't have some favorite sellers on eBay--particularly on vintage Japanese bonsai pots.

Yes. It is kept closed to keep the spammers out as best we can...

All,

Sorry for not thinking about access to Facebook and Bonsai Classifieds. Hopefully, these pictures suffice for those interested in seeing the tree.

Regards,
Martin

Where do I get one of these minions that you speak of? Do they sell those on bonsai classifieds?

fh05,

As I am not sure that you look on Facebook, so here is the text from the sales posting on Bonsai Classifieds:

"Korean hornbeam 5 tree forest for sale for local pick up only in Charlotte, NC. I have moved and new house is full sun, which will not work for Korean hornbeam in Charlotte. Asking $675. Pot is Chinese production, approx 23" osd long. Will hand deliver in NC or SC for a fee. Originally 3 tree landscape started about 18 years ago, additional trees added about 15 years ago. Last repot Spring 2013. Thanks for looking."

Martin
