What did you do today? Show us Pic Required

Friend of mine stopped by John Geanangel's place in SC today, sent some photos and asked if I wanted anything...so I got him to grab me a really nice boxwood, and BC, as well as a flat full of bc saplings for me to field grow. The photos he sent me.

Getting too deep into this hobby....now I'm a member of the local garden supply store's "garden club"... 1/2 off trees and shrubs all day every day....BIG LOL.

I have enough trees where I'm starting to get more selective, but I did get these just to add another species to my collection once i got my garden club coupon. At 10 bucks a piece....

I will have to get in there to see how the trunks look. With do much dead inner foliage and junipers being a bit prickly to begin with, it's not always easy for me to get a good look a the trunk. Might need to add gloves to my fanny pack...

I owe some pictures so here we go! I got bored and trimmed some trees. No pictures of that so here’s a nishiki gawa and Katsura from @Piedmont Bonsai I also a seeing the first visible root in my tub of nishiki, deshojo, Beni maiko and sango kaku cuttings.

I also admired this deshojo, it must be loving it’s home because it keeps putting out new growth.

Ya got a little over confident out there, didn't ya?
I was rassling a BC and the shovel was laid down. I thought to myself: “Let’s get the BC and come back for the shovel later. I should have remembered that the swamp sometimes just swallows things and will not give it back.

I came back to the spot and could not find the shovel.

I bet the other BC you had on your list hopped over there and threw it in the deep water so you couldn’t dig it next.

Good day nuts!
First time doing a heavy cut back and I defoliated my escambron. I couldn’t be more thrilled it bounced back and back budded like crazy. Looks way better! Here’s it today.

Those are good dinner fare.
Here come the biggest Coonass mystery
“How come when it is BBQ gator is meat but when fried gator is fish?”

And the kicker:
The archbishop of New Orleans officially declared gator as seafood so cajuns are allowed to eat gator during Lent.
