Sharing some sunshine with one of our local big birds. It came up to about 5’ from me checking for bugs in the flowerbed. They seem to have no fear of people.
I've been popping in to see the Big Bear bald eagles for over a year. They laid 3 eggs last year, 2 of which became full-sized eagles. That was amazing to witness.
They just laid a couple eggs over the last few days! It will be about a month before they hatch.
Gladly!
I'm still growing mine in a colander with about 60% pumice, 20% coco coir, 20% pine fines. It grew like crazy last summer!
I treated it like a 2-flush pine and it responded with lots of back-budding and prolific growth. It's in full sun and gets water only when it's dry. Loving this tree and will put in in a proper pot in about a month. I will search for a recent photo. Currently buried in snow and ice.
