I decided to make some bonsai art today. I’ve had this old plow disc laying around, I found it a few years ago while stalking the woods looking for material. A few drill bits, three railroad spikes and a few welds later here it is. The first of hopefully more plow disc bonsai pot. It measures a whopping 18 inches across. @rustygarden

Almost forgot. This Chinese Privet had rooted itself through a plastic basket into the front yard for a couple years. Yesterday I dug it up, potted it up and pruned it. May end up trimming that lowest branch (or not) and try for a literati style. Being a Privet the foliage should bounce back nicely soon.

I finished stripping this Sandrobe beech (F. sylvatica ‘Sandrobe’) Lovely, crinkly leaves on this dwarf, and so so many of them. Also made a few of the most obvious cuts, but will fully prune and wire it when it gets repotted, sometime in the next month or so.

Getting ready for Puget Sound spring!

We are pressure washing all other cedar benches (10) today using a hand gun with adjustable pressure step down device.,

Bench shown is a big brother 72”, to the lower 40” benches previously shown. All are relatively light, yet sturdy.

At least one older bench will be repainted soon. It’s in the garage with a heater blowing on it to quick dry.

Made a grow box, going to let one of my larger trees grow out for a while. Second effort, first that didn't look, uh rough. Wife's idea to put handles on it.
