I'm not allowed to eat for 24 hours before a hospital appointment so I got no idea why I clicked on this thread... I'm so hungry and this all looks so good :(

Gonna eat so much food tomorrow when it's all done!!

St Patrick's meal prep! Scalloped potatoes with a special cheese from a historic Irish island community in Québec, and roast ham. A local oatmeal stout, one of my favorites!20170317_160944.jpg 20170317_163847.jpg 20170317_164140.jpg

That's all good. Pork is a major food group all it's own.

So...these from the Finally thread...20170818_095103.jpg

Converted.
20170818_212950.jpg

It's even better now after sitting around for a while.

3 Italian Sausages caseless and pizza sized.
Browned.

3 small wild onions.
Fresh thyme.
Fresh parsley.
3 marigold flowers.
(Shit if that wasn't a beautiful fresh relish on its own!)

Added to browned sausage.

Maters cored, seeded, blended.
Added.

Add 2 ITALIAN SIZED scoops of jarred garlic puree .

Add to taste.

Probly a 1/4 cup White wine vinegar.

Teaspoon of fat sea salt nuggets.

Pepper.

More herbs.

And to get the red back...
Red Baking sugar!

Oh and some corn starch.

The kids ate it again!

Fishing for vegan recipes.....

I went to the store the other day and got some vegetables.

Most of them ended up in here...

A Vegan Salad I call.....

The Italian Gorilla!
20170903_210425.jpg

Leftover noodles chopped.

Sliced diced or shredded...

2 mushrooms.
One celery stalk.
One roma tomato.
2 asparagus sprigs.
Broccoli.
Carrots.

Tossed in the shoebox bin with Ken's Steakhouse Italian with EVO Oil.

So got any vegans?

I'm happily a week into meat free, no Milk, only eating "traces of milk" till I can organize a proper diet.

Feeling healthy.

My beets are way better than the store ones!

One of my favorite vegan cheats is macadamia nut parmesean.

Raw macadamia nuts.
Salt
Fresh rosemary
Fresh pepper

Put it into a food processor. Pulsate until desired consistency.

Put heap fulls on pasta etc.

I'm not vegan but did go gluten and dairy free for over a year. A company called daiya makes a line of vegan products from cheese to frozen pizzas. Just watch sodium levels. There is no substitute for the real thing but it's an option to turn to, especially if kids are involved. Look to coconut and almond milk products. Coconut yogurt is good and after trial and error you can find a good flavor coconut milk ice cream.

Rare to see them in such good condition in their original finish!
