Yea, Jon’s an actual professional skiier and a legitimate car fanatic with some awesome builds. I’m hoping we can pair up some trees and cars that share some sort of characteristic or quality to them at the event. Gonna attempt to pull the enthusiasm of the young car groups towards the Bonsai practice.
Looking for a tree that would pair with my Ford Pinto 😂 😂 😂

The most I’ve spent on bonsai was a donation to the Pacific Bonsai Expo two years ago. It was important to me that Jonas and Eric be financially successful to make sure they were motivated to do it again. For a tree the most I spent was $1300 for this cork bark pine at this years BABA show. The tree was developed by Rick Trumm.

Haven’t spent more than $1,000 on piece of material yet… would have more pride to have bonsai I developed & worked on appraised at 5 figures honestly some day …
but have worked on a few 10,000+ trees , and added value to increase worth on a few as well.

Am I correct that this is the same tree listed here for 18k?

Either this dude I reselling this pine for a ridiculous price or this post is using stolen photos of a tree that isn’t theirs and trying to scam

I’ll wait for @Drcuisine to respond, but there’s a good chance this is not his ebay account. He’s a regular here, and that account has a bit of a smell it. It’s probably best to report the posting if it is confirmed.

Also possible he left off a 0 in the price paid, explaining the rate 💸

A lot of people put an insane price with “ or best offer”, just to see what they’ll get.
Yeah.. I find it a bit off-putting. When I see a tree I DO like, and I see such prices I never go and say, gee, lets offer 1/10 of the asking price, and I just keep scrolling. But maybe there are people that do enter the challenge there. But I am a cheapskate and feel many trees are sold way over reasonable prices :)

They spoofed his name too?

Doubtful this isn’t his eBay account. This account has been around since 1999. You’re telling me someone spoofed the exact same name with the same tree with an account that old?
