Really just posting to say I love this tree. Can't scroll past it on the page without getting a stab of 'I want that'.
For the obligatory tree pic, here's a piece of raw material - a Potentilla I picked up this year. Looking forward to doing something with it in the spring.

Me either, just pops up right on top in that last page....
With a can't scroll page pause....

Like it's saying "(I'm) looking good ya'll"

Cuz I don't recall BVF using "ya"ll", but then it sinks in,
Right when I'm again admiring that lovely odd little shelf at the base.

Well, TomB, thanks for new paging us.

My Collected Hops having set some proper terminal buds, looks able to make it thru winter.20170909_075403.jpg

Procumbens cascade. Everyone's had one. I kind of like this tree, it's from $20 garden center material and has been through one or two of my really awful styling attempts and kept ticking. I'm pissed the pot chipped, I really liked it.

Hi folks, this is a Taxus, purchased for a measly sum of £10 from a tree nursery...early days, i like the Uro in what i see as the main trunk, might get a tall trunk, short trunk thing going on and try to build something unique, already some visible taper in the trunks, plenty of scope for jinning, lots of dead stubs to play with

Tree thread where,if you comment, you have to post a picture of one of your trees. You can post the same tree multiple times, but from different angles, or details about the tree or the container.
We will thus continue commenting on each others' trees and post more trees.

Kurume azalea in a Koyo pot:
View attachment 163235

I have always enjoyed this azalea, both in bloom and without flowers.

Here is a mystery azalea that I dug from my Mom's house. It was originally purchased by my brothers ex-wife and after she was gone and he decided he didn't like it anymore, it went to my Mom. I was able to talk her out of it last Spring, so it's in its' 2nd year in a pot. I thought it was a Kurume because it blooms really early but it's also thrown out 3 or 4 random blooms this fall, so now I'm wondering if it's actually an encore hybrid. It's got a long road ahead but I like it.IMGP0447.JPG
