It would seem I can no longer down load videos. The message I get back is the file is too large. A fifteen minutes is a lot smaller than a couple of videos I have seen posted here that exceed an hour. So if anyone knows what the problem is I would appreciate the information. I am trying to download a video on the creation of the beginning bonsai displayed below. I feel it is important that people understand you can make a bonsai from less expensive nursery material. It all depends on the artistic eye you allow yourself to cultivate.

For anyone who is interested: This tree was started from a one gallon nursery tree I obtained from a nursery two years ago. I repotted it last SUMMER and started initial styling on it May 20/ 2018

If you are talking about loading a video to youtube, I know sometimes they ask you to verify your Google account. Once this is done you should be able to load a video more than 15 minutes long. That is what I had to do a while back when I was putting up a video that was longer than 15 minutes.

No I dated the photo and I meant May just last week. Do you find that unusual?
No, I was wonder, you said initial styling and if that meant pruning branches and wiring or just wire at this time/season.

I am not adverse to doing Mugo training this time of year. I do the repotting in the Summer most of the time, July through early September.

I need to update photos on my tiny Mugo myself. I am happy with it after some additional pruning so far but the new needles are a lot longer than the older needles. We have been getting a ton of rain.

Mugos generally like a lot of water as long as they do not become water logged, and soggy. Often too rich a soil mix, too much water, too much fertilizer and not enough sun exposure will give you long needles.

Often the needle length can be controled by bud removal or proper shoot pruning in the early summer. If the tree is health and growing well wait till around the the end of June to the middle of July and remove the new growth back to where it started this spring leaving about 1mm of new stem above the old wood. The tree is going to look like crap for the rest of the year and you will have to be careful about the watering till the new buds start to form in about two weeks. Mugos will not normally produce an additional flush of growth but will produce a lot of buds at the cut locations and below and old wood. These buds will pop and give you some beautiful tight and lovely growth next spring and start forcing growth to proceed inward toward the center of the tree instead of shooting for the moon.

Thank you very much. It has been in full sun, fed at the start of May but not since. Dries out fast as it is in a small pot but now we are soaked all week from this tropical storm. Needles shot out much longer on the tips. I can prune them back as suggested. I have not tried to bonsai a Mugo before but I really like this tiny one. Only four inches tall. Wire I just put on it back in late March is already getting tight in places.

I recently heard something about number of views and length of videos....

Like you can't just do what you want anymore....

Aka...Themtube.com

Them bastards!
The only you tube I've ever watched is Vances show and now it seems they're trying to cancel it.
That's O.K.
I have the option of calling him and or seeing him in person if need be.
Sucks for everyone else though.

Going Live on Facebook is easy....

Force Frary to the Book!

Mike....its not hard for people like you to ignore all the Bullshit on FB and take advantage of it for what good it offers.

I am rather amused by the "see through" content!

Sucks that that is the easiest way..

Or maybe we could or will in the future have a video hoster here!

Shit guys I don't know what to say. I like Youtube but I seem to be having difficulty getting it to load for me. In an efforts to do what seems right to them they are screwing everyone else. I think is it because I am not playing around with Google at the moment and they don't like it.

Trouble with going live on FB as I understand it; you lose the content and you cannot edit the content if you screw the pooch, cut your finger off, break wind or sneeze on the camera lens.

All that sounds like good added content for me! Lol!

@Vance Wood , did you remove needles along the branches to wire or were they bare as seen?
