So what does 300.00 material look like?

I have never bought a bonsai. I have bought and collected seeds, seedlings, nursery stock, bonsai starters and pre bonsai.

These pines make a man weep with envy. It’s a 359 mile trip each way to any real bonsai place down here.

This is my favorite from this thread so far.

Where is down here?
Arkansas. 300+ miles north of Little Rock and 400 miles West of Brussels. The place in Van Burean closed and Von’s Gardens relocated so it’s all dried up unless you like paying double for Brussels’ mallsai stuff.

300 miles north of Little Rock puts you into the middle of Missouri, I don't know where this Brussels is (I'm assuming not Belgium)

Little Rock is 300+ miles SE of NWAR. Brussels is in Mississippi.

Ahh, I think I understand. You are in NW Arkansas. And the closest Bonsai shops are Brussel's just south of Memphis or in Little Rock. I'm a little thick sometimes.
